A 6 week course for parents / carers with babies and Pre-School children covering

  • The reality of parenting
  • Your child’s emotional needs
  • The importance of play
  • Parenting styles and boundaries
  • Strategies for safety and discipline
  • The role of the wider family
    • How it works

      We start with coffee, introduce the topic for the week and in a relaxed and informal way have the opportunity to share experiences and discussion. Each week there will be a suggested activity for you to try at home!  There will be an area with toys and you are welcome to bring your babies and pre-school children with you.

    • Who is it for?

      All those who ‘parent’ children from the age of 0-4 years who would appreciate general parenting guidance in supporting their child’s social and behavioural and emotional needs.

    • Who designed the course and who is running it?

      The charity Care for the Family designed the course and has developed an excellent reputation over the twenty five years they have been founded. Local mums, who have been trained by Care for the Family, guide you through the sessions.
